Killer tier list
This ladder mixes a pre-Butcher Reddit thread, a 14 Jul 2026 article, and the 24–25 Oct 2026 Butcher posts. It is not a developer rank. Sample sizes are small.

Research notes
I put the two older lists side by side and they do not match. Reddit’s poster had Abysswalker and Slasher at S, Stalker, Cure, and Masked at A, The Killer at B, and Veil at F because that player could not use the spear. The comments called Veil the most broken killer in the game. gamer.org in July had Cure and Hidden at S and Veil at A, and it could not include Butcher. I am not averaging those into a fake decimal. The table is the Reddit read, with a footnote where July disagrees, and Butcher sits in its own row.
How to use the letters
S means the poster would bring it every session. A means strong with a hole. B means a clear weakness the poster could name. F, for Veil, means that one player whiffed the kit. Hidden was “not played” on that thread, so it is absent there and S on the July article. Treat both as opinions.
| Letter | Killer | Why this thread said it | Disagreeing note |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Abysswalker | Burst, reveal, and a kit that works on most maps | July article: A |
| S | Slasher | Free, map cross with Q, Pursuit into loops | July article: A |
| A | Stalker | Silent approach, weaker raw speed | Still true after the Sep 2025 rework only if you drop tier-3 advice |
| A | Cure | Map pressure, cleared by Twist of Fate and Riot Shield | July article: S |
| A | Masked | Mask luck, including a silent mask | July article: B |
| B | The Killer | Frenzy does not down an already injured survivor | July article: B |
| Split | The Veil | Poster said F. Comments said most broken | July article: A. High ceiling, low floor |
| — | Hidden | Not played in that thread | July article: S. 45-stud terror radius |
| Mid | Butcher | Day-one thread: inconsistent chain, bad traps | Trap-near-hook nerf on 25 Oct 2026 |
Questions
Who is the best killer in Violence District right now?
No single name. For a situation-based answer, use the best-killer page. This page is the ladder and its disagreements.
Is The Butcher S tier?
Not on the evidence from the first two days. Players called it mid, and traps were nerfed on 25 Oct 2026.
Is The Cure the best killer?
Cure is strong map pressure. Twist of Fate and Riot Shield answer the zombies. That is not an automatic S.
